The 2010 Audi R8 gets a new V-10 option this year--and when the Lamborghini-derived engine is on board, the R8's pricetag swells to $147,200.
The new edition of the stunning two-seater switches from its standard V-8 engine for the priciest version. With the V-10, the new sportscar accelerates from 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds, Audi promises. That would make it slightly faster than GM's 638-hp Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, but slower than the Nissan GT-R. It also adds LED headlights, new 19-inch wheels, a different grille, dual oval exhaust tips, V-10 badges, a 465-watt Bang & Olufsen audio system and a navigation system.
The new edition moves even higher for its dual-clutch edition, which costs $156,300. Base prices for the 420-hp V-8 coupe begin at $115,400.
For more information on the new model, take a look at our 2010 Audi R8 page, along with our 2010 Audi S5 and 2010 Audi S4 pages. And stay tuned--we'll be driving each of them soon for a full road test review.
