Audi A7

One Audi model that has flown under my radar is the new A7. The 4-door coupe will be hitting U.S. sales floors sometime this year, but a search on YouTube turned up a few videos that provide a little eye candy....

This video of the A7 was taken at the 2010 Auto Expo in Delhi, India...

2010 Audi Q7 Inside, the trim has been updated with more wood, but the big news is the third generation MMI navigation/entertainment/information system. The nav gets a 3D interface and joystick control for finding destinations. The Sirius satellite radio also provides traffic data now and accepts voice commands to find cash, food or gas, much like Ford's TravelLink system. Powertrains for the US pretty much carryover and include the new 3.0-liter TDI diesel. Over in Europe, the optional 4.2-liter TDI V8 is now up to 340 hp and 560 lb-ft of torque. The fuel consumption of the diesel V8 has been reduced with mileage on the European combined cycle going from 21.2 to 23.8 mpg (US)

A "clean diesel" 3.0 TDI is also available, it features an advanced common rail injection system, a high-performance exhaust recirculating system, and a DeNOx catalytic converter. This version of the 3.0 TDI is rated to consume 8.9L/100 km (26.43 US mpg) and already meets the 2014 Euro 6 emission limits. The 4.2-liter V8 TDI boasts significantly reduced fuel consumption despite being more powerful for 2010. Fuel economy improves from 11.1L/100 km (21.19 US mpg) to 9.9L/100 km (23.76 US mpg) and the engine's output is now 250 kW (340 bhp) and 760 Nm of torque.

2010 Audi Q7 Audi FSI direct injection gasoline technology was born in the R8 Le Mans-winning sports car found on racetracks from 2000-2005, with its first U.S. application in the 2005 A6 3.2 FSI V6 sedan launching in late 2004 calendar year. Using many of the same principles as TDI clean diesel technology, its high compression ratios allow for more power and torque with better fuel economy, while increasing performance levels from previous engine generations. Audi Q7's 3.6 FSI V6 engine and its 4.2 FSI V8 engines complement the TDI clean diesel engine joining the Audi Q7 family in April 2009.

The Audi A8

Andrew Gilbert, an executive vice president at chip maker Qualcomm, said the car would provide a "bubble of connectivity" for travellers, allowing them to access web-based services at high speeds on the go.

The Audi A8 will feature the Mobile Media Interface Plus in-car navigation system, which will act as a mobile "hotspot", enabling passengers to connect Wi-Fi enabled devices to the internet. The sat-nav also has Google Earth built in to it, providing driers with high-resolution, three-dimensional satellite imagery. Audi said that the system, when combined with a street atlas and other online content, can provide real-time route planning, location-specific points of interest or local restaurant reviews, as well as up-to-the-minute traffic information.

Audi R8 Spyder

Audi R8 Spyder

Personally I’m a huge fan of Audi R8 and I am glad that I have the opportunity to write about this new model, but the sad part is that there are not many details about this Audi R8 Spyder V10 5.2 FSI Quattro. As you can see from the photos, the design is pretty much the same except the fact that is convertible.

I can only guess how is to drive e car like this and feel the wind pass through my hair, the feeling must be extraordinary. As you maybe anticipatedAudi R8 Spyder has a lot of power under the hood, but let’s find out exactly what. This beauty is equipped with a 5.2 liter FSI direct-injected V10 engine having a capacity of 525 horsepower.

new Audi A8 – The sportiest sedan

2009-hofele-audi-a8-1

“The new Audi A8 is the sportiest sedan in the segment,” says Rupert Stadler, Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG. “It combines numerous functions in a new and intelligent way. And it is unmatched in the stylistic elements and impression of the interior.”

The new luxury sedan, to arrive at dealerships in early 2010, is a technical work of art combining sportiness and progressiveness. Its elegant and powerful body is an aluminum Audi Space Frame (ASF), weighing about 40 percent less than a comparable steel structure.

The new full LED headlights, which use light emitting diodes for all light functions, are a completely exclusive high-end solution on board the new A8.

They give the luxury sedan an unmistakable appearance even in daylight and even more so after the fall of darkness. The revolutionary optics used in these headlights mean a departure from the tubular light modules commonly used today. The full LED headlights herald a new chapter in the history of lighting technology.

The interior enchants with new, even lighter lines, uncompromising quality of fit and finish and extraordinary attention to the smallest of details. The comfort on board is first class – from new, emotionally charged ambient lighting to the luxurious adjustable rear seats.

The Audi A8 combines a new level of technical intelligence with exemplary and easy operation. When combined with the optional navigation system, its Multi Media Interface MMI includes a pioneering innovation: the MMI touch. This MMI touch system enables the driver to control many functions intuitively; for example, the navigation destination can be entered by tracing the letters on the pad with a finger.
